MACEDONIA PETITION REGARDING THE FYROM's PERMANENT NAME

FYROM (Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia) - a country whose area was called "Vardarska Banovina" until 1944 when the Hellenic name of Macedonia was usurped by Yugoslavia's Communist leader Marshall Broz Tito, has been falsely linking the present day Slavic inhabitants of that Republic with the ancient Macedonians who were indisputably Hellenic.
We, the undersigned, support the Themis-Macedonia effort that affirms that the name, history, and culture of Macedonia are unquestionably Hellenic and that a final settlement with the FYROM must not contain "Macedonia"or any derivative form of "Macedonia" in its name. We, therefore, authorize Themis-Macedonia to register our names in support of this petition on the web site: http://www.greece.org/themis/macedonia/ .
