Events   AHEPA AND THE GREEK STUDENTS ASSOCIATION ANNOUNCE A JOINT SCHOLARSHIP EVENT   Toronto-The AHEPA Lord Byron Chapter of Toronto and the Greek Students Association of the University of Toronto have announced the awarding of scholarships for the year 2001-2002.   The event will be held at "The Munk Centre" University of Toronto located at the corner of Hoskin Avenue and Devonshire Place ( First street west of the Varsity Stadium) on Sunday, November 18, 2001, 3:30 p.m. Its purpose is to ensure needy and worthy students have an opportunity to realize their true academic potential.  AHEPA Toronto will contribute five scholarships ranging from $500 to $1000, and the Greek Students Association, University of Toronto, will offer awards to students of special distinction.   Also on the same day, Dr. Venetsanopoulos will be honoured for both his outstanding academic achievements and his recent appointment as Dean of Applied Science and Engineering, University of Toronto.  Dr. Venetsanopoulos was president of the AHEPA Lord Byron Chapter of Toronto in 1975 and 1976.
