Yes they should be brought back home. It is definitely beautiful to share with the world and inspire all cultures but ultimately they need to be in their rightful home!

A museum’s administration should appreciate artifacts enough to know when they belong in their original city as opposed to being on display just for public consumption.

The Parthenon is the product of the greek civilization. This monument was brutally violated by Lord Elgin. To the British Museum: Do the right thing and give them back. Bring them back home to Greece were they belong.

I don`t agree with the opinion that all national treasures should be returned to the countries of their origin. Keeping away half or a big part of a monument when the rest of it still standing for 2,5 thousand years at the place it is lack of respect to the monument. And when the monument is Parthenon it is lack of respect to the western civilisation

In all honesty I have not been very aware of this situation. Though of course we British of this age are people who visited museums as children, certainly I did not take all of this into my memory when i was a kid, However we stole them and I whole heartedly agree that they should be returned to the people of Greece. Without delay! Where the Greek people house them is in fact none of our business. I love my country but some of the things we have been responsible for make me cringe.

The Parthenon marbles were made in Greece by greek artisans and design by greek artists, they belong to that country, they are Greek.

The Parthenon Sculptures belong to the Parthenon, not in the British museum. Return them with no delay!

The Greek marbles should be returned to the people to whom they belong and to the country of their origin–Greece. The British may think they would have to close half of the British museum if they returned everything they have pilfered from other countries, but this should not be of concern to those who believe that a country’s cultural treasures belong to those who produced them.

The Parthenon marbles belong to the Parthenon. Just because Lord Elgin was a thief does not mean that the British can keep forever stolen goods! Return them now!

All monuments must be returned where they belong. Greek monuments to greek people, Agyptian monuments to egypts, etc., each nation has its own history and it has to preserve it. No one has the right to stole the heritage of a nation!!
