RECOGNITION OF GREEK-PONTIAN GENOCIDE BY THE STATE ASSEMBLY & SENATE OF
NEW JERSEY
A Joint Legislative Resolution by the Senate and General Assembly of the State
of New Jersey commemorates the Pontian Greek Genocide of 1914-1922.
This is the second consecutive recognition of the above Genocide in a period of
three months. The first one took place with a proclamation by Governor
Pataki of New York on May 19, 2002.
A special thanks to Assemblyman Steve Corodemus for his diligent work on this
matter and his long cooperation and dedication to the Greek-American Community.
