Dear brothers in Christ,

Christ is in our midst!

With this note we are calling upon you to support the mission work of our church, by encouraging those interested to become subscribers to our magazine. Please photocopy the Archbishopric's announcement and distribute it among those who are interested and send us their names and postal addresses.

Because of apartheid (and for other reasons which we cannot go into in this letter) we were unable to develop mission work to the local population of South Africa. But it is never too late. With God'?s help and that of my close colleagues we have started catechism classes and will soon baptise new Orthodox Christians. Please pray that God will help us to succeed. We are applying for land from the government in order to build our first mission church, and in the mean time we are aiming, once we have found the financial means, to start buying small houses in the areas where we are doing the catechism. We want to convert these houses into churches, schools and small clinics. Each house costs between $5000-$7000 (American dollars). Your subscription to our magazine will help us to make progress with the mission work of our church. May God keep you well and protect your family.
