Dear members and Friends, now in existence for 24 years, HEC continues to strive to maintain and expand its programs and offerings to Hellenism. We are asking for your support.

Our Hellenic Electronic Center (www.greece.org) is once again appealing to Hellenes and Philhellenes around the world to support the Center in its vital mission to harness the power of the Internet to promote Hellenic culture and establish a network among Hellenes, Philhellenes, and Hellenic organizations.
Your generosity and commitment to our Hellenic values and our motherland Greece keep alive the flame of faith and hope that glows in our hearts and minds.
With each passing day and with each tragic headline, global affairs affect and influence Greece and our common future, making it all the more difficult to respond appropriately and in a timely fashion. As you must know, the overwhelming refugee crisis inundating Greece’s coastline and islands since this past summer has only exacerbated the ongoing financial crisis in Greece.
However, our history and our Hellenic values both clearly teach us that Hellenism always triumphs, because our values – throughout the history of mankind – are based on the humanity common to all peoples and the justice accorded to all peoples.
This is why HEC (www.greece.org) is again asking for your help, to help keep HEC relevant and keep Hellenes world-wide united and free, most specifically by continuing to provide services and support to the many active HEC Projects. We cannot do this without your help and support.
We are short of funds, both for the causes we support and for the day-to-day running of HEC. Any donation – however small – will be most gratefully received and will be put directly to work in the cause of Hellenism and Greece.
Simple annual and bi-annual HEC Projects, such as the organizing of the Pan-Hellenic Gathering in Thrace (PPA), have become essential in strengthening the chords of hope for the people of Thraki, as well as for all Hellenes. These efforts spearheaded by local organizations and HEC, are also co-assisted by UNESCO in Greece. Your monetary support is needed to ensure a successful event, for which HEC has pledged monetary support.
Also, we must draw your attention to a desperate situation on the Island of Samos, which is the object of a recently approved HEC Project. This Project is now being organized to help provide much-needed medical equipment for the Saint Panteleimon Hospital of Samos. A crowd-funding for this project will be inaugurated with a base contribution by HEC. Your financial support is needed to help HEC meet this obligation.
Other HEC Projects, of interest and importance to all of us, are being organized. These include the hosting of a website, dedicated to Greek Philosophers and a new page dedicated to Cyprus. Of course, ongoing HEC efforts must be sustained. These include:
HEC takes pride in knowing we are all united and committed to Greece and our Hellenic values, which is why HEC is an all-inclusive non-partisan, non-political, non-profit organization.
Please consider contributing to this year’s annual HEC Fundraising Campaign. Every dollar counts!
In closing, HEC invites you to volunteer some of your time in support of our projects, by contacting Human Resources Department at
