This is one of a chain of six small islands that lie between Naxos and Amorgos. Ferry boats visit the island several times a week, although less frequently than at the other islands in the chain. The port is called Stavros and there are rooms to let here.

The island has a couple of fine beaches and some dramatic scenery a short walk away from the port. Mersini is a pleasant hamlet from which the which a path leads to Livadi, a white sand beach.

Kalotaritissa, in the north of the island, can still only be reached on foot or by boat. It has one taverna and one room to rent.
