STROGILI

Stroggyli or Ypsili is the other small island that belongs to the municipality of Kastellorizo. which is also called Megisti.


It is situated 5 nautical miles south east of Megisti and is very close to Ro and Megisti

There is only a lighthouse on it, signalling to passing vessels. Two watchmen staff the lighthouse.

Strogyli means the rounded [island]
Ypsili means the high [island]
