Challenges
  • Limited resources: HEC is operating with a modest budget
  • Overexpansion: HEC expanded beyond its ability to be able to effectively manage the rapid growth rate
  • Increased workload: It’s becoming very difficult for the volunteers and part-time staff members to maintain lists, provide free internet services, and promote collaborations among member organizations

Testimonials
  • “I would like to welcome seven new sisters and brothers onto our HEC  AHEPA-Aussie list.  We now have twenty-one and it would be wonderful to hear from everyone, to communicate amongst ourselves on a regular basis.  Those who are on this list already know that we get an average of eight to ten e-mails a day.  Our American sisters and brothers use this means of communicating amongst themselves and we can find out what is happening in America. It is an excellent way of receiving news.”

Summary
  • The Hellenic Electronic Center is a dynamic electronic resource that is responding to the important need of uniting Hellenes throughout the world:  the 10 million in Hellas and the 10 million who comprise the Diaspora.
  • Due to increasing demand for HEC’s services, HEC can no longer function effectively on a predominately volunteer basis.
  • HEC is making its first concerted appeal to foundations and individuals for help.
  • If you agree with the goals of HEC—to promote Hellas and Hellenism throughout the world—please support our efforts with a financial contribution.
  • Funds will be used exclusively to strengthen administrative functions so that HEC’s goals can be achieved.
