CYPRUS RESOLUTION

 

The Pan-Macedonian Association of the United States of America unanimously voted the following resolution regarding the recent efforts to resolve the Cyprus issue. In the resolution are incorporated the following terms and stipulations which can not be negotiable:

1. Withdrawal of all Turkish military forces of occupation.

2. Establishing a united Cypriot federation with an officially international status, one sovereign nation and an undivided State.

3. Safeguard the human rights and the basic freedoms for all lawful residents of Cyprus, especially of the three basic privileges, proprietorship, habitation and transportation. All above should be defined in the Constitution of Cyprus.

4. The elucidation must be based a) on rules of International Justice and European interests, b) on the resolutions and decisions of UN, c) on concurrence of higher echelon between the two Cypriot communities and d) on the decisions of the European Court of Human Rights.

5. The incorporation of the entire Cyprus Democracy into the European Union.

6. Return to Mother Cyprus all the occupied by the Turks cities, villages and properties.

The Pan-Macedonian Association stresses the need of any solution to be in accordance with the above said, which are basic stipulations for a just, viable and operational process of the Cyprus issue and beneficial to all the inhabitants of the island.
