Registration Procedures for an Organization


Founded on March 1,1995, the Hellenic Electronic Center (HEC) is a volunteer, non-profit, non-political organization. HEC is a cultural and educational electronic project whose main objective is to promote Hellenism and establish a network among various Hellenic Associations and Hellenic groups; for example, Hellenic student associations, youth groups and schools. HEC provides technical support and computer services to various non-profit Hellenic organizations and projects.

HEC can offer to your organization FREE space at the HEC server to house your home page. It can offer you technical advise and in general it can offer you various internet services according to your needs. If you or your organization would like more information about HEC, or to view the various projects that HEC sponsored and organized, please visit our homepage:

HEC's Associate Members Committee is responsible for recruiting, encouraging, and processing new associations in the effort to promote Hellenism, primarily through the Internet.

In order to become affiliated with HEC, your association is required to read and accept the HEC By-laws.


PROCEDURES

1. Any organization who wishes to become an Associate HEC Member must first apply to HEC and become accepted, as well as read and accept the HEC By-laws.

2.- The Association shall apply on line or it can obtain an applications from the registrations administrator Miss. Demetra Athena Valtas.

3. After your application has been submitted, your application will be reviewed to insure that it falls within the chapter and the bylaws of HEC, and will notify you within a reasonable time of the outcome.

4. If accepted, HEC will subscribe a rep of the organization to the HECM@hol.gr mailing list. This list has a representative from each Associate HEC member and from each HEC-Project. It acts as a link among all members of HEC and is the main network of HEC.

5.- Finally a welcome letter of orientation and general instructions will be mailed to the new Associate HEC Member.

We look forward to hearing from you and welcoming you to the work of the Hellenic Electronic Center, in promoting knowledge about Hellenism via the Internet and establishing a network among the various Hellenic organizations.
