Obligations and Rights of Organisations or Individuals
Whose Projects and Work are Adopted by HEC.

The organization or an individual who enters a colaboration with HEC on a project should adhere to the following:

1. MUST read and accept the by-laws of the HEC

2. MUST have a mission to help Hellenism and/or promote Hellenic culture

3. MUST use the Center's services such as computers, software and technical support to publish on the Internet, SUBJECT to the approval of the Council's Executive Committee.

4. SHOULD NOT use the Center's services for commercial reasons, e.g. commercial advertisements.

• It is NOT allowed to advertise events or products of PROFIT organizations, irrelevant to the mission of the Center,
  
• However, if this advertisement is for fund raising, the project organisers can ask for permission from the Center. The Center will decide and inform the project organisers of its decision. The Center is not obliged to accept and it is up to its discretion to ask for a fee from the project organisers.
  
• Advertising of events or products of another non-profit organization is permitted as long as the mission of this organization is to help and/or promote Hellenism.
  
• Any project adopted by HEC it is automatically copyrighted to HEC. The author has all rights for his work as provided by the copyrights laws.
  
• Adopted projects cannot be mirrored on any other sites without the express written concent of HEC. It should be noted that HEC is mirrored in its entirety (including all its projects) on at least two servers worldwide.

5. MUST demonstrate the uniqueness and significance of the project that it publishes to avoid duplication and redundancy.

6. MUST designate a representative to serve as liaison of the project organisers and the Center. The representatives will:

• voluntarily advise the Center
• require no payment
• have no voting rights in the Center
• inform the Center of changes relevant to the status of the organization and its officers.(e.g. change to Profit Organization, changed the goals/objectives, etc.)

7. Must be in continuous communication with the Center as needed.

8. MUST make every possible effort to avoid public confrontation with Associate members, organisers of other projects or the Center.

The above is a short description of the rights and obligations of an organisation whose new project is accepted by the HEC. If any of the above is in conflict with the Center By-Laws, the by-laws supersede this document

The Hellenic Electronic Center reserves every right to terminate any colaboration with a given project when a conflict against the bylaws arises.
