In order to insure we have and maintain a high standard in web development we require a coding standard.
This should also insure that the pages we design comply with USA Law and other International Laws.

Our work will also be internally audited by and independantly chosen member who will look for areas of  non-compliance.
There after our project plan will be updated to show our target dates for addressing these requirements for our various sites.

The United States of America has made their ADA (Dissability) laws addresses the development of Internet Web pages.
This is our plan of action to address this requirement on our web sites.

We are refering to the following :

United States Department of Justice Policy Ruling, 9/9/96: ADA Accessibility Requirements Apply to Internet Web Pages 10 NDLR 240

The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requires covered entities to furnish appropriate auxiliary aids and services where necessary to ensure effective communication with individuals with disabilities, unless doing so would result in a fundamental alteration to the program or service or in an undue burden. See 28 C.F.R. 36.303; 28 C.F.R. 35.160. Auxiliary aids include taped texts, Brailled materials, large print materials, captioning and other methods of making audio and visual media available to people with disabilities.

In an attempt to create an International Protocol for addressing Dissabilities issues
The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) had published the following Web Accessibility Initiative  (WAI)  Document
