Influenced USA Delegation’s presentation in the UN ITU-R of USA U-NII Bands Fixed Wireless Access interests, and in the UN ITU-T to approve the updated ATM Operations and Maintenance Standard resulting in earlier availability of ATM Operations and Maintenance (OAM), and Protection Switching.
Managed the participation of GTE Corp delegates in a number of National and International Industry Standards Forums to assure a unified Corporate voice.
Established Corporate internal Stockholders groups, which developed consensus for GTE Advocacy position on Industry Standard issues.
• Proposed and obtained National and International industry agreement for the development of enhancements to existing ATM Operations and Maintenance Specifications. OAM enhancements were accepted for ATM wireless extensions and ADSL access equipment.
Facilitated the revision of AT&T’s interfacing with USA telephone industry, thus enhancing GTE’s ability to effectively plan its networks signaling system.
Assisted in establishing consensus in the ATM Forum for developing ATM Usage Measurements for Billing Specifications resulting in effective Standard Accounting equipment.
• Analyzed Industry trends data and Recommended needed actions through reports, white papers, meetings, seminars, and workshops.
• Recognized by Management for influencing Industry Specification of T1 ATM User Network
Interface, resulting in cost-effective equipment and services.
Managed multiple laboratory research projects on ATM, IP, SONET, DWDM, and SS7 technologies supporting the migration to an integrated voice, data and video network.
