Philosophers of the Ancient Greek World – A Hellenic Electronic Center Project

The main idea of this project is to prom ote the Ancient Greek Philosophy by making this project accessible to all people worldwide, and by not directing it solely to philosophers. The Ancient Greek Philosophy is the beginning of modern civilization and culture. Some of the most famous philosophers of all time were from the ancient Greek world such as Socrates, Plato and Aristotle. The Ancient Greek Philosophers held lectures on philosophy, not only in Greece but also in many European, African and Middle Eastern countries. This project also wants to present to the entire public the less well-known philosophers of this period who lived and worked all over the world. The project is sponsored by the Hellenic Electronic Center (HEC) cultural/educational organization.
