    Rhodes is the largest island in the Dodecanese. It is 246 nautical miles from Piraeus and has a population of 91.000. Rhodes is accessible by boat from Piraeus, by air from Athens and other international airports.

  • Rhodes is a city with two characters. The old town is encircled by medieval castles; there are narrow lanes, churches, the Knights' Castle and the Castello.The Knights' Hospital, an impressive building dating from the 15th century, now houses the Archaeological Museum and its rich collection, including the famous Venus of Rhodes.

    The new city extends beyond these evocative walls; here, the visitor will find glamorous hotels and shops full of characteristic items of Rhodian folk art. Many cultural events take place in Rhodes during the summer months.
