CNN MISREPRESENTATION
January 7, 2002

Dear Sir,
You are quite correct in noting that the islands of the Aegean have been erroneously represented as Turkish rather than properly Greek. I have personally sent an urgent message to the technical department to rectify the problem immediately. Thank you for taking the time to inform me of this error. We strive for excellence in representing the countries of the world, and it is to my chagrin when we fail to function at the highest possible standards. Please accept my apologies and my understanding that such an error certainly is imbued with a level of geopolitical insensitivity. I hope you know that this was not an intended act of insensitivity to the country of Greece and its people.
Very sincerely,
Denise Youngblood
