Letters of Thanks

Children of the Assyrian survivors thank
Governor Pataki

Dear Governor Pataki,

One voice can be worth millions. The Assyrian
Christians were one of the brutally massacred
peoples in the unholy genocide of 1915.

Your voice in recognizing the injustice committed
to the uncountable number of innocent victims of
Hellenic, Armenian and Assyrian origin, is worth
a million demonstrators and hunger strikers
for the sake of the remembrance. Our Assyrian
youngsters and children of the survivors thank
you
for you courageous act.

For years we have been trying to inform the
public of
this:

We have dedicated sites of awareness and scholars
have put valuable time for the next generation
to understand what happened in the unrecognized
past:

Unfortunately injustice continues. Neighboring
regimes still oppress and steal the very basic
needs for survival of our ancient Assyrian
culture on our occupied homeland:

In these times of turbulence and change, in the
middle-eastern countries such as Turkey and Iraq,
voices like yours can secure the fundamental
rights for the oppressed minorities when these
lands are developed into democratic states,
unlike
what they are now.

Shlomo u Iqoro,
Peace and respect

Sincerely,

Dr. M. Beth Arsan
