This web site was originally created by a class of students at an English school in Rethymo, Crete, in 1997. These students have long since left the school and are no doubt all married with children. The site is now sporadically maintained by their former English teacher, Ian Swindale, who has since retired. However, you can read about the original team below.

My name is Aliki Tsonga and I am 19 years old. I work in an architect's office. I belong to the Arkadi Athletics Team in Rethymno and in my spare time I train at the local track.

My name is Andri Lironi and I am 21 years old. I'm studying economics at the University of Crete. I have been studying English for more years than I can remember! In my spare time I like to go to the gym.

frieze detail My name is Evyenia Lioni and I am 15 years old. I am in the first year at the Third High School in Rethymno. In my spare time I like reading, listening to music and swimming.

My name is Andreas Paragioudakis and I am 17 years old. I have lived in Rethymno for 16 years and I go to the Music High School. I have been studying English for about six years. I am now studying for my diploma in piano and harmony. I also like playing guitar in my spare time.

My name is Giorgos Velegrakis and I am 19 years old. I finished school two years ago. Now I am trying to get into university. I like to play basketball and listen to music.

My name is Vangelis Kaselouris and I'm 16 years old. I go to the 3rd High School in Rethymno. I have been studying English and French for about six years.
