The British Government

Statues The British Government does not support the return of the Parthenon Marbles to Greece. If you believe that the Parthenon Marbles should be returned to Greece, you can send an email to the Ministry of Culture in London asking the Heritage Minister to enter into negotiations with the Greek government on the future of the Parthenon Marbles. Just click below and write a few words in your email program.

Alternatively you can contact your MP and find out if they support the return of the Parthenon Marbles to Athens. If they don't you could email them to explain why you think the Parthenon Marbles should be reunited in the New Acropolis Museum in Athens. Campaigning Organisations

There are two main organisations in the UK campaigning for the return of the Parthenon Sculptures to Athens.

Marbles Reunited

Marbles Reunited is a membership organisation which is very active. The organisation produces two newsletters a year and maintains its own website. If you support the return of the Parthenon Marbles to Athens why not join Marbles Reunited and help the campaign. You can download an application form from their website.

The British Committee for the Reunification of the Parthenon Marbles

The British Committee for the Reunification of the Parthenon Marbles is not a membership organisation but it has a long history of campaigning for the return of the Parthenon Sculptures and collaborates closely with the Greek Ministry of Culture.
